Uses

Dipropylene glycol is the most ideal solvent for many flavors, fragrances and cosmetic applications. This raw material has good water, oil and hydrocarbon co-solubility, and has a slight odor, little skin irritation, and low toxicity. The distribution of isomers is uniform and the quality is excellent; some specific product application areas include: perfume, curling liquid, skin cleansing liquid, deodorant, face, hand and body skin care products; dipropylene glycol is also used in unsaturated resins and saturated resin production. The product has long-term yellowing resistance. Used as a solvent for cellulose acetate; nitrocellulose; shellac varnish; castor oil. It can also be used to make plasticizers, fumigants, synthetic detergents, etc.

Fire-fighting measures

Move the container from the fire scene to an open place as much as possible. Keep the fire container cool by spraying water until the fire is over. If the container in the fire scene has changed color or produces sound from the safety relief device, it must be evacuated immediately. Spray the escaping liquid with water to dilute it into a non-flammable mixture, and use water spray to protect firefighters. Extinguishing agent: water, water mist, alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sandy soil.

Emergency treatment

Ingestion: Drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.

Packaging, storage, transportation

Packed in iron drum, 200-215KG/drum; stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. It should be stored separately from the oxidant and avoid mixed storage and transportation. It should be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable storage materials.
